Default Looking to make a Survivor Ritualist

Looking to finally make a char in order to go for the Survivor title. Thought the Rit might be a good choice as it looks like a versatile char, spirits in particular look like they might be helpful when it comes to going for a survivor.

I played the class briefly when factions came out, thought it was ok but nothing that really stood out about it. After reading some of the changes since then it looks like the class might be more appealing to myself.

Just wondering if anyone had any tips or advice in trying to go for the survivor title on a Rit? Any advice on Runes, equipment, maybe skills? Or maybe a good idea of what i should do campaign wise, missions to ignore etc. I'm sure there are plenty of people who have managed to get the title and have had some experiences, good or bad doing so.

Play the game, cap all the elites you come across. You should finish the title right about the time you finish all the campaigns and EotN.
I just got done with that on my rit about a week ago. You get the protector titles at the same time (+ some decent work on skill hunters and cartographer), so you're saving a lot of time if you expect to work on GWAMM.

Always run survivor insignia.

only problem with this is you dont know if your gona get disconnected. you can imagine what happens then, if not use the search and see the complaints. i say if your going for the title play it safe.

I don't see how disconnects would kill you in a game mode where you don't have to actively do anything to stay alive. The occasions where I don't just target the nearest monster, hit space, and wait the necessary 40-50 seconds for the whole mob to be dead are extremely rare in NM pve. Actually, I often alt+tab to my browser during fights.

Besides, if you run survivor on your armor, you're only going to die if you team wipes anyway. And that really shouldn't happen.

boxing dungeon=easy but boring. always use exp scrolls no matter what you are doing though, even if it is the cheapest ones. spirit spammer build would be excellent to use for regular fighting and missions etc.

Make your Rit, get to LvL 10. Go to EoTN, do the Punch out Dungen with XP Scrolls until LvL 20.

You can then "risk" doing this in HM but buyer be ware........if you get DC'd or KO'd and can not make it back up it counts as a death. With Rit armor being so low I wouldnt risk it.

You can leech someone who is farming the old "keg" farm very safe and get a ton of EXP. This is extremly safe to do and you can reach max survivor in hours with XP Scrolls.

Easiest thing you can do.

lvl 10 with rit.
punch out in Gunnars Hold.
then get solo ss rit build and solo Aatxes and grasping in UW in normal mode.
odds of dying are slim to none if you play it safe, and play it right.
Has to be the safest most efficient build for UW solo. You can actually clear almost all of UW with it. But aatxe, and grasping are easiest.

that or just find something else to solo ss in HM maybe or even NM

btw if you go UW clear the room before taking grasping quest.

Actually you might want to avoid UW for quite some time, practice the SoS rit build somewhere else before straight entering UW unless you have experience with the build, then go go

Sounds so easy.

I wonder how long it took you finish a mission and how many times you mapped out to escape a near death. (how did you manage Finding Vekk [the one that requires you to cross the water with a golem]...was it exciting?)

I have several LS (warrior, nec, para, derv, ranger excluding other characters I have already deleted...i dont have rit, mes and ele...tried but they cant beat kilroy in hm.) and i made all of them using Kilroy. For the past few weeks i am re-rolling an NF warrior working for LS without doing Kilroy. Today, I am already in the desolation and i need aournd 5k experience to be tier-2 BUT I CANNOT PROCEED ANYMORE because of the big possibility of dying in that area.

If I can't proceed with NF, i might go to Faction. Prophecy gives a very small amount of experience. If I get a dead-end in faction, I will just finish the LS using Kilroy (safe, quick but boring and expensive [800g per 10 minutes on nm]).

I am not saying that it is impossible to have LS by playing the game normally. It is just the risk is too high.

Capping is good way also but how many SOC do you bring? I'm sure you wont fill your bar with SOC.

My 1st Survivor was a Rit, played through the game normally (personal choice, it you want the title quickly, then Kilroy would be the way to go). If you want the title as quickly as possible, then don't worry about reading the following .

Basically went through Factions as far as Nahpui mission (but did NOT do that mission when I reached it), doing all the quests I could find in and around Kaineng - check wiki for a listing (these quests help quite a bit, most are around the 2.5 -3k xp mark).

As soon as I reached Kaineng, priorities were max armour, travelling to both EotN and NF to get heroes (if you have the campaigns) and also travelling to Prophecies.

In Prophecies I ran/fought my way to Sanctum Cay, did that mission to reach the desert. Did the 3 missions required in order to do Augury Rock. Reasoning for that is that AR gives you 50k xp for 1st time completion (if you manage bonus, which is easy) - provided your character has not Ascended.

That means doing the AR mission before Nahpui or completing Hunted! in Nightfall. You can also then do the profession quests that allow you to change your secondary profession (this part not required, but saves you 500gp for at least 5 professions).

Once that was done, complete Nahpui, see Senji (or prof changer at Temple of Balthazar) to complete your choice of secondary professions.

After that just play through the game, capping any and every Elite available in areas you've unlocked, completing all Canthan quests (I also did several missions and quests in NF, as well as capping there).

It took a few weeks, but I wasn't in a hurry for it, so for me time was not an issue.

For armour I went full Survivor insignia's and vitae runes, minor attribute runes on the headpiece.

Skills I can't really remember now, but was something along the line of combo spirit spammer and party support - whatever build helps you stay in the background.

Oh, and if you do have access to heroes, fit your monk hero with the skill Vital Blessing (you will have to disable & cast this yourself as heroes won't maintain enchantments themselves). It may be cheesy, but it was my 1st Survivor and I didn't want to take too many chances

Of course, if you have completed EotN with another character, then there's always the wurms (in HM) outside Boreal Station. Use xp scrolls, spirit spam, even safer than boxing, though I imagine considerably longer.

Sorry for the long post, hope it helps.

Good luck.

I just finished the title on my Rit last week by doing the Halloween quests, since you couldn't get any dp during the first two quests. I had another toon run the last two and gave the skeleton stones to my survivor which racked up 330k worth of xp. However since that's no longer available....

I used scrolls all the time to get extra XP

I used Kilroy's dungeon quests to get a lot of XP, but really got most of my xp doing other things

I actually got pretty far in Nightfall, Factions and EOTN. Basically avoided the quests in EOTN where there is insta death, asked for guild members for help in missions while not worrying about getting bonuses.

Paid special attention to the double xp weekends for capping elite skills. That was 10k a pop.

Make sure you get a necromancer hero asap, because having a MM can really help take some of the hits off of you. I actually got a 3 man discord team on my own.

I only had to leave the game a few times. Really, less then 10. The closest I came to losing the title was when I went down to 42 health from doing a quest outside of Maatu Keep. (Be careful there) Enemies came from every direction and hexed me so I couldn't run away. It was the ony time I shut the game down. But made it through anyhow.

It's really more fun to do quests and missions, because at least you're getting your toon though the game in the meantime. It's just a different way of playing.
